The City of Orlando's largest community park, Bill Frederick Park spans an impressive one hundred and seventy eight acres. Located on the quiet shores of Turkey Lake, the park provides numerous amenities and activities. Bill Frederick Park is conveniently located near the Florida Turnpike, area shopping, Orlando Theme Parks, and is just a short drive from some of the finest Dr. Phillips Real Estate and Windermere, FL Real Estate in the area.

First opened to the public in 1978, the park originally had a producing orange grove with over 2000 orange trees.  In 1980 plans were in place to develop a campground facility on the grounds. The orange trees were successfully relocated, and the campground was opened in 1981.

The 2012 Windermere, FL 8th Annual Holiday Boat Parade will take place on Saturday December 22, 2012 starting at 5:00pm.

Holiday themed decorations will adorn locals boats as they parade along the shores of Lake Butler and Wausan Bay, touring around some of Central Florida's most prestigious real estate. The Great Wheel Corp. has purchased a piece of property near the Orange County Convention Center. This property, which sits on thirty-seven acres, was bought for thirty-eight million dollars.

This purchase contributed to a three-way deal. The land was first sold to Shamanand “Sham” Maharaj’s Buena Vista Corp. by Westwood Boulevard Ltd. They then sold the property to Great Orlando Wheel.

Great Wheel purchased the property so they could build a rotating observation wheel. This wheel would be part of an International Drive resort complex, reports Orlando Business Journal. The wheel will have a 960-person capacity and these visitors will be taken on rides in pods that have been equipped with air
