Memorial Day in Central Florida is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country. Here are several events and ceremonies in and around Orlando that offer meaningful ways to observe and commemorate this significant holiday. May 24 at 6pm | Orlando Memorial Day Commemoration Ceremony, Downtown Orlando | Join together at the Greenwood Cemetery in downtown Orlando for a special commemoration ceremony to honor and remember the brave men and women of the US Armed Forces.
May 25 at 10am | Memorial Day Flag Ceremony, Celebration | Head to Founders Park in Celebration for a tribute to our nation's heroes.
May 27 at 10am | Memorial Day 2024 Observance, Windermere | Come together at the Windermere Town Hall with the Rotary Club of Windermere for a Memorial Day observance for those who have given their all for our country.
May 27 at 8:30am | Memorial Day Community Ceremony, Winter Garden | Join at the Veterans Memorial Park in Winter Garden which will include a Roll Call of Veterans, placement of wreaths, and patriotic music.
May 27 at 11am | Memorial Day, Remember & Honor, Apopka | Visit the Edgewood/Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka for this special event including guest speaker, Navy Mom Mary, U.S. Army Veteran. Refreshments will be available after the ceremony.
May 27 at 5:15pm | Memorial Day Taps, Oviedo | The playing of TAPS will be held at the Veteran's Memorial at Center Lake Park in Oviedo to honor and remember those services members who lost their lives.
May 27 at 11am | Memorial Day Observance Ceremony, Clermont | Come together at the Highlander Building & Pavilion Complex in Clermont for a special ceremony with guest speaker, Dr. Joe Ponds.
