Founded in 1994, Celebration’s is a 'new-urbanism' community all of dwellings in Celebration are all nestled close together and near the sidewalk, which fosters a sense of community and togetherness. The zones for residences and businesses are mixed, so you often get a sense of neighborhood stores reminiscent of the past when life was a little less fast-paced and complicated. Large estate type homes and smaller homes are mixed throughout the town to eliminate the sense of exclusion that often accompanies suburban communities these days.
However, the town is also firmly rooted in the future. “We looked at what made communities great in our past, added what we've learned from the best practices today, and combined that with a vision and hope for strong communities in the future” former Disney CEO Michael Eisner. Many residents use NEV vehicles, which are also known as Neighborhood Electric Vehicles to get around town. Scooters and other kinds of vehicles that are environmentally friendly frequent the small streets of Celebration as well. Even with the modern outlook, however, Celebration remains a family-oriented and neighborhood friendly place to live.
Celebration Real Estate consists of eight developments: North Village, South Village, East Village, West Village, Celebration Village, Lake Evalyn, Roseville Corner, and Artisan Park. Most homes have front porches and are nestled close together to form a better sense of community. Large homes and smaller homes are typically situated nearby one another.
