Altamonte Springs, Florida is located just outside the city of Downtown Orlando in Seminole County. Altamonte Springs was incorporated to the area in 1920 and as of 1970, the population of the area was comprised of only 5,000 people. This population status has changed greatly as the developers for the community have turned the Altamonte Springs area into a thriving suburb. Today, Altamonte Springs, with a population of over 43,000, is known primarily for their beautiful parks, community events and social programs. Altamonte Springs is also home to the Altamonte Mall. This mall, which was built 1974, was the region’s first mall and offers a variety of shopping and dinning choices.

Many of the city's subdivisions in Altamonte Springs and Altamonte Real Estate can be located along Palm Springs Drive, Maitland Avenue and Montgomery Road, all of which are a short distance to the mall. Due to the lack of land, many homeowners flipped older homes instead of creating new developments. A few of the older developments in the community seem much more serene,  as some of the Altamonte Real Estate is located near tranquil lakes, transplanting residents in the area away from the constant flow of business and traffic. There is no shortage of multifamily housing in the area, as there are no less than 30 such developments on the Altamonte Real Estate market. Semoran Boulevard, which is commonly referred to as S.R. 436, houses many of these living establishments. Altamonte Real Estate has helped to transform Altamonte Springs into a town of shopping, entertainment, and apartment living, which has been found to attract many young adults.

Although Altamonte Springs and the Altamonte Real Estate industry thrive off of the revenue that is generated from the mall, local officials are refocusing the area’s interest with a 25- acre project titled Uptown Altamonte. The local officials believe that this will alter the focus from the mall to the Uptown Altamonte area, as well as Crane’s Roost Park and its accommodating 40-acre manmade lake, which is located in close proximity. As a $250 million partnership between the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency and Unicorp National Developments, Uptown Altamonte will house 1.5 million square feet of retail space, offices and condominiums. The developers for CenterPointe park, a condominium tower that overlooks Crane’s Roost Lake, have been so pleased with the outcome of units sold that they are currently under construction for another tower, which is sure to only boost the economy even more for Altamonte Real Estate.
