The Town of Windermere Town LogoThe Town of Windermere "Among the Lakes", is well known for its beautifully scenic chain of lakes and prestigious lakefront real estate. Have you ever wondered about the meaning of the Town Logo? The design of Windermere's Town Logo was actually based on inspiration from the Town of Windermere, England. The logo is a crest, divided into four symbolic pictures; thus resembling a coat of arms.

The top left quarter of the Windermere crest reflects three Windermere class yachts.

Ask Windermere residents what they most treasure about their town..."Boating" will probably be the number one reply.  Windermere is home to over 5000 acres of sand bottom, crystal clear lakes. Creating the perfect place to enjoy the boating lifestyle.

The top right quarter of the Windermere crest reflects an ancient gate denoting Windermere as the gateway to the Lake District.

The picturesque Butler Chain of Lakes makes Windermere, FL real estate one of the premier locations to reside in Southwest Orlando. The system of eleven, spring fed lakes are highly regarded by boaters and fishing enthusiasts alike.

The bottom left quarter of the Windermere crest reflects the flag of Saint George, the Patron Saint of England.

The National Flag of England is the "Cross of St. George". The red cross on a white background is symbolic of the Patron Saint of England, Saint George in the middle ages. The Windermere Town Logo incorporates the Cross of Saint George, which is a reminder of the English sister city.

The bottom right quarter of the Windermere crest reflects three Char, a rare and delicious trout.

Char trout are found at a depth of at least 90 feet, in the largest natural lake in England, Lake Windermere. The Butler Chain of Lakes offers fishing enthusiasts schooling fish, (including large and small mouth bass, spotted bass, white bass, walleye, and more)  twelve months out of the year. Naturally creating a highly sought after area for anyone who enjoys the relaxing boating and fishing lifestyle.
